MEET DAN

Dan Wheeler is lawyer and entrepreneur who has helped individuals design and implement solutions to difficult regulatory problems. Dan grew up in Montana and Pennsylvania and moved to San Francisco 25 years ago. He graduated from New York University School of Law and earned a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Dan has been a successful lawyer in private practice for over 25 years. He leads The Fintech Lawyer and FISC Ventures, a boutique law firm and consultancy located in San Francisco.

He is the author of “Optimal Stablecoin Design,” a how-to guide for entrepreneurs in the burgeoning stablecoin industry.

Professional Experience

Dan lives in San Francisco with his wife Kim Shields and their daughter, Jessie. He is a practicing Catholic and is a member of the St. Dominic’s parish in San Francisco. Dan also has aν 18 year-old daughter, Hannah.

From 1993 to 1997, Dan had the honor of serving in the United States Army Reserves specializing in Combat Engineering.
