WHY I’M RUNNING
Twenty years ago, I left Ohio and brought Midwest common sense and work ethic to San Francisco. The city captured my heart immediately—the climate, the geography, the stunning beauty of this place. The dynamic business environment electrified me. In San Francisco, the gold rush never ends.
I fell in love here. I am raising my daughter here. San Francisco became my home.
For 25 years, I have represented clients as a lawyer—with passion, creativity, tenacity and integrity. I excel at what I do. My practice spans banking, fintech and crypto. I have helped banks navigate complex transactions. I advise companies similar to Brex and Stripe. I sit on the board of a credit union. I design crypto products that serve everyday people around the world. I earn well. I live a blessed life. I value my privacy.
Yet San Francisco needs a great representative now—someone who can champion this extraordinary city with passion, intelligence and integrity. Someone who makes San Francisco proud.
Representation has defined my career for a quarter century. I looked for another candidate I could enthusiastically support, someone I could trust to honor our city. That person is not in this race.
So I am running.

THE DISTRICT
California’s 11th Congressional District is the City and County of San Francisco. The district is home to one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the headquarters of leading fintechs, AI companies and venture capitalists. It faces longstanding challenges from homelessness, drug addiction and overdoses, street crime and housing affordability. Under Dan’s leadership, the city can be the world’s headquarters for AI, fintech, banking and venture capital. Now is the time for a fresh, pragmatic and intelligent approach that respects San Francisco’s culture and values.
